Prison law and Ethical Accountability Department

Designed for Justice.

Justice is more than enforcement—it’s about ethics, accountability, and opportunity. The Plead Department was built as a bridge between correctional officers, parole officers, and incarcerated individuals, ensuring advocacy for all three while upholding fairness and dignity.

This department works closely with correctional facilities to conduct ethical audits, develop rehabilitative initiatives, and provide direct reentry support that goes beyond words—it takes action. We don’t just tell returning citizens to “find a job,” we place them in immediate employment opportunities through CORE’s staffing partnerships.

At the heart of this effort is the Credit to Jimmy Program, named in honor of Jimmy Brown, my grandfather, whose life was deeply impacted by the justice system. His story serves as a testament to the urgent need for ethical rehabilitation, real opportunities, and second chances. Through this program, CORE ensures that no one’s past defines their future. His legacy lives on—not as a statistic, but as a force for change.

Beyond reentry, the Plead Department also advocates for correctional officers, ensuring their work environments remain ethical, sustainable, and just. Our juvenile intervention initiative, Credit to Jimmy Youth, works to deter at-risk youth from entering the justice system, providing mentorship, structured alternatives, and early intervention programs.

The Plead Department is here to restore dignity, reform justice, and break cycles of incarceration—because

justice is only real when it works for everyone.
